...because it just saved some of my stories from oblivion o_o

My (new) computer died (again, yes again, the fourth in three years) and this time it was the hard drive. Good news? All covered under warrantee. Bad news? My most recent backup is lost, and thus I have lost EVERYTHING since last July. Pictures, stories, a solid 6 chapters of my novel and 6+ months of journal entries...

....sigh.

Some of my photos survived via facebook, and a few of my stories through here, for which I am grateful. Still a bit frustrating.

But, that's why I've been gone again. Now, I am here again. I wouldn't expect much in the way of posts just yet though, as I'm still trying to recover whatever possible and start sifting through the damage to discover exactly what's lost. In the mean time though, I've been writing (by hand, old fashioned yo - kind of wishing I'd done that all last year, right now!), and so once things are a bit less crazy I fully intend to get it typed up and posted.


In other news, I hurt my shoulder at fencing like three and half months ago now, and it won't heal. Makes drawing tricky, among other things. Went back to the specialist today, he took a good look at it, then asked me if I had plans this summer. I don't really think that's a good thing O_O

One more week of meds and if I'm not better, in for surgery screening. Wish me luck ><
